For this remix of MONSTA – Holdin’ On, I wanted to stay closer to the original feel of Bryn Christopher (aka Skaar the frontman of I See MONSTAS).
The made famous by the Skrillex and Nero ultra hype remix is a forever classic to me, but hearing the original inspired me to take the song in a different direction.
The lyrical message of the song also really resonates with me. Feelings of identity, facing adversity, and holding onto hope.

Speaking of identity crisis, finding the lead singer’s social was quite the trip. As mentioned earlier the original artist name MONSTA was quickly changed to I See MONSTAS after the song’s release.
The lead singer was mentioned as Skaar on this Discogs article, but it seems that the singer now goes by their birth name Bryn Christopher
